Simon Lasky MA, BA (Hons) teaches jazz piano, composition and musicianship at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and teaches jazz at Bradfield College in Berkshire. He also lectures to both specialist and non-specialist audiences in the UK and abroad presenting his unique It’s All Music project to people of all ages.

It’s All Music is a lecture performance which makes radical connections between classical composers and rock, pop & club dance musicians. By jumping inside the music, pianist, composer & educator, Simon Lasky, demonstrates how the musical devices which listeners connect with so readily in many genres of pop music, also exist in great classical works. JAZZ WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS & COLLEGES
World renown jazz and soul vocalist, Nina Ferro, and recording artist composer and pianist, Simon Lasky, work with young instrumental and vocal jazz students developing all aspects of their improvisation and performance skills, and nurturing their mastery of jazz and associated idioms, in a day of workshops and masterclasses. The day culminates in an evening public concert presentation with a full professional rhythm section. Simon initially studied piano, composition, French Horn and conducting as a Junior Exhibitioner at Trinity College of Music in London before reading music at the University of Bristol where he was awarded a Frist Class honours degree in 1997. In 1998 he achieved a Masters in Composition for Television, Theatre & Film before travelling the globe as a performer, band leader and arranger in predominantly pop and jazz idioms. He took up his current teaching positions in 2005.
